INEGI – Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering is a Research and Technology Organisation (RTO), founded in 1986, focused on research and technology-based innovation activities, technology transfer, consulting and technological services, oriented to the development of industry and economy in general.

EWF and its member organizations have developed an international harmonised system for education, training and qualification in the field of welding technology. It was a pioneer organization developing the first harmonized system embracing all the European countries for the qualification of personnel for a wide range of levels.

As an independent testing and research institute, OFI accompanies innovation processes in the fields of materials technology & building renovation from the idea to market entry and beyond. Institut za varilstvo (“IZV”) – Welding Institute is an institution specialized in research and education in the field of welding and allied processes. IZV has more than 60 years of experience. The main activities are focused on: Education and training in the field of welding - international specialization of welding personnel at all levels, according to IIW/EWF guidelines.

CESOL is an Association of Persons and Companies, independent and non-profit, in the service of welding, adhesive bonding and additive manufacturing. The organization specializes in information, certification of people, products and processes, training, advice and technical assistance to industries that use welding, adhesives and additive manufacturing.

Fraunhofer IFAM (founded in 1968 & integrated into the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in 1974) and, is one of Europe's most important independent research institutes in the fields of adhesive bonding technology, surfaces, shaping and functional materials. The focus at the five institute locations Bremen, Dresden, Stade, Wolfsburg, and Braunschweig as well as the North Sea island of Helgoland is on research and development.

ISQ is a private, non-profit and independent technological institution founded in 1965, based in Portugal and currently running operations in more than 40 countries across the world. It offers its experience in technical inspections, technical assistance for engineering projects, consultancy services and training activities, supported by transversal research and development activities and by 17 accredited laboratories.
